Scheduled for release on Friday, the CARROT Weather app for visionOS promises a distinctive experience, presenting essential weather details such as current temperature, hourly and daily forecasts, sunrise and sunset times, Moon phases, air quality, and more, all available at a glance.
One of the standout features of CARROT Weather on the Vision Pro is the addition of an interactive 3D globe. This globe provides users with visual representations of temperatures, wind speeds, and precipitation intensity worldwide.
Brian Mueller, the app’s developer, emphasized the globe as the app’s “marquee feature,” expressing enthusiasm about the immersive experience it brings to users’ living rooms.
Beyond the informative aspects, CARROT Weather on the Vision Pro introduces an interactive element with the app’s AI-powered character, CARROT.
Users can engage with CARROT, known for its snarky comments, and even enjoy mini-games through the “ornament” located at the bottom of the app’s window.
The much-anticipated Apple Vision Pro is slated for launch on Friday, and CARROT Weather aims to make its visionOS app available on the App Store around 7 a.m. Pacific Time on the same day.
Access to the full suite of app features will require a subscription, with pricing options ranging from $4.99 to $14.99 per month or $19.99 to $59.99 per year, depending on the chosen tier.
CARROT Weather is set to be among the initial wave of 250 apps offering native support for visionOS on the launch day.
